We are committed to protecting your personal data and complying with applicable privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.
By using the AWA L.D.V application, you agree to the collection and processing of information as described in this policy.

Data We Collect
Personal Identification Data
When using our Service, we may collect the following personal information:

- National ID number or Passport number (required for rental contracts)
- Driver's license number and expiry date
- Date of birth
Usage and Technical Data
We automatically collect technical data when you access the Application:
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Device type, operating system, and version
- Application version and session timestamps
- Pages and features accessed within the Application
- Error logs and crash reports
Camera and Media Access
With your explicit permission, our Application accesses your device camera and photo library to support the "État des lieux" (Vehicle Condition Report) feature. Photos taken are used exclusively to document the vehicle's condition at the start and end of a rental contract. We do not use these photos for facial recognition or any other purpose.
Financial Data
We collect financial information related to rental contracts, including rental fees, payment amounts, and caution deposits. We do not store full credit card numbers or banking credentials. Payment processing, if applicable, is handled by certified third-party payment processors.

We process your personal data for the following purposes, each with a lawful basis:

- Vehicle inspection photos: Retained for the duration of the related rental contract plus 1 year.
- Deleted account data: Anonymized or deleted within 30 days of a deletion request, unless legal obligations require longer retention.

Moroccan Users — Law No. 09-08
For users in the Kingdom of Morocco, data processing is governed by Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, overseen by the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel).
- Data collection and processing are based on the legitimate purposes of providing car rental management services.
- Sensitive personal data (such as national ID numbers) is collected only when strictly necessary for contract formation and is protected with appropriate technical measures.
- You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, and opposition by contacting us directly.

Security of Your Personal Data
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, accidental loss, destruction, or disclosure. These include:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit

- Role-based access control — only authorized personnel can access personal data

- Secure JWT-based authentication for application access
No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that poses a high risk to your rights, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities within 72 hours as required by applicable law.
Children's Privacy
The AWA L.D.V Application is intended for use by adults and businesses involved in car rental operations. Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately and we will delete such data without undue delay.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by:
